*Please note there is a change in the COCTP Classes offered at this conference.  Due to a scheduling conflict with the intended instructor, the class on Federal Labor Law has been replaced by a class on County Purchasing.  The County Purchasing class offers the same number of COCTP credit hours as the Labor Law class.    
Over flow hotel information: The Holiday Inn (615-751-5300) has a room block available for TCSA.  The rate is $129 a night and includes breakfast.  When calling to make your reservations, ask for the TCSA room block.  Rooms in this block will only be available at this rate for TCSA up until September 22nd, so book soon.  
The Transportation Coalition of Tennessee will be holding a Transportation Summit on October 6th at the Embassy Suites in Rutherford County (Murfreesboro).  This seminar will feature speakers discussing all aspects of transportation infrastructure and how it impacts citizens across the state.  Registration is required.  Please indicate if you will attend when registering for the TCSA Fall Conference & Trade Show.  If you are attending the TCSA Fall Conference, there is no additional cost to attend the Transportation Summit, but you must register.  

The Tennessee County Commissioners Association (TCCA) will be continuing its annual regional meetings across the state during the month of September.  All meetings will begin at 5:30pm local time.  Below is the schedule of remaining meetings.   
  • September 10th:  Catfish Cabin, Madison County (Jackson)
  • September 15th:  Paris Landing State Park, Henry County (Buchanan)
  • September 17th:  Del Monaco Winery, Putnam County (Baxter)
The Local Government Insurance Pool (LGIP) is presenting five Jail Liability Seminars during the month of September in Cookeville, Sevierville, Jackson, Clarksville, and Dunlap.  The seminar, which is TCI approved, will be led by CTAS Jail Management Consultant Jim Hart.  Click here for more information and a registration form.

Grant Workshop at Roane State Community College: Senator Ken Yager invites all county officials to attend the 3rd Annual Grant Conference at Roane State Community College on September 23rd from 8:30 am to 1:00 pm.  You must RSVP by September 9th to attend because there is limited space available.  To RSVP, email Chad Phillips at chad.phillips@capitol.tn.gov.  For more information on the event click here.  COCTP credit will be given for attending this event.
