UM-Dearborn Homecoming Kick-off Ceremony
The Office for Student Engagement—including Kristin McDonough (left), Dexter Overall and Reetha Perananamgam—kicked off Homecoming Week in the University Center today with a Nickelodeon Channel-inspired sliming. OSE and Alumni Relations will host events for the entire campus community throughout the week.
Students and nonprofit organizations partnered together this summer for the Nonprofit Organization Challenge. The event—which was sponsored by Ford Motor Company Fund’s Community Corps program and organized by iLabs and the College of Business—brought the groups together to brainstorm solutions to problems facing the region's nonprofits.
The College of Arts, Sciences, and Letters has opened a new Journalism and Screen Studies Studio. The studio features a new lighting grid, acoustic treatment and the latest digital technology.
The College of Engineering and Computer Science’s Cooperative Education Program connects students with professional opportunities that match their talents and interests. To some—like senior Stephanie Chung—that makes graduation day worth the wait.
Kevin Cunningham ('82 B.S.A) wants to ensure that students—especially first-generation students—have the opportunity to receive the same top-notch education that was available to him.
Faculty and staff covered under a university health plan can receive their flu vaccination on campus without paying an out-of-pocket fee. UM-Dearborn will offer two more walk-in clinics this fall: Oct. 13 and Oct. 26.
Faculty earned more than $1.1 million in external funding last month. Learn more about their work, plus review upcoming deadlines for campus grants.
