As the fall semester begins to wind down, we still have some exciting programs planned in the next few weeks. I also want to draw your attention to the important deadlines and reminders listed below from our academic affairs team.
Our partners in the Career Center continue their Discovery Series with an event also taking place tomorrow from 12-1 p.m. These events are sure to help you sharpen your professional skills.

The Center for Spiritual and Religious Life (CSRL) is preparing for the annual Gratitude Month program. Vanderbilt students, staff, and faculty are invited to participate in Gratitude Challenges through the month of November to counter stress and anxiety, engage with gratitude in intentional ways, and build a sustained connection to self and one another.

Clinton Global Initiative University
Vanderbilt will be hosting the Clinton Global Initiative University annual meeting on March 3-5, 2023. CGI U recruits a student cohort of young leaders who are committed to developing innovative solutions to the world's most pressing challenges. The program’s year-round engagement model includes a social impact curriculum, training, and mentorship opportunities and a wide range of networking opportunities with CGI U partners, peers, alumni, staff, and leaders in the field. Applications are now open for all graduate and Ph.D. students. The deadline to apply is December 16.

Vanderbilt Commodore Orchestra
Vanderbilt Commodore Orchestra (VCO) is excited to present the Fall 2022 concert: Dancing with Death. The concert will be held December 3, at 7 p.m. in Ingram Hall, and it will highlight works by Mahler, Coleridge-Taylor, and Vivaldi, as well as Bruch’s Violin Concerto, featuring Vanderbilt’s very own Professor Stephen Miahky. The concert is free.

English Language Center Spring 2023 ClassesRegistration opens in early December for the English for Academic and Professionals (EAP) program Spring 2023 classes. EAP offers courses in academic writing, academic speaking, and pronunciation. EAP courses at the English Language Center (ELC) support academic writing and oral communication for students who use English as an Additional Language. Students meet both as a group and individually with an instructor to work on their specific language needs.

Career Discovery Series, Virtual Drop-Ins The final forum for the Career Discovery Series: VU Your Career Skills, will be held virtually on November 16, from 12-1 p.m. Virtual Drop-Ins, as well as in-person drop-ins, are available for Graduate students and postdoctoral fellows on Fridays from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. until December 9.
