Make Your Mark with KCB at BLINK!

Artists from Keep Cincinnati Beautiful- representing one of TWO local muralist teams at BLINK this year- will coordinate "Make Your Mark," an interactive CROWDSOURCED mural on the walls of Findlay Market.
You can participate in this one of a kind piece! Participants will use unconventional free-form painting techniques to transform this familiar Findlay Market wall. Once the mural is finished, the words "Make Your Mark" will be painted using glow-in-the-dark paint to tie the piece together!
Come PAINT with us and MAKE YOUR MARK October 11-13th, 4-7 P.M. @ 1807 Race Street

Great American Cleanup: FALL NEP

The Neighborhood Enhancement Program (NEP) is a 90-day collaborative effort between the City of Cincinnati, neighborhood residents, and community organizations. KCB organizes cleanups for the selected NEP neighborhoods to beautify the areas. Volunteers will complete a variety of projects including litter pick up, clearing overgrowth, painting, greenspace maintenance, and other clean up jobs.

WE NEED VOLUNTEERS!
This fall's NEP neighborhood is EAST PRICE HILL!

Come prepared with weather appropriate clothing that you don't mind getting dirty, close-toed shoes, and a refillable water bottle. Registration begins at 9:00AM at the Holy Family School (3001 Price Ave.) in the parking lot off of Grand Ave.  We'll kick off around 9:30AM, get to work by 10:00AM, and then head back for lunch around 1:00PM. Currito burritos will be provided for all pre-registered volunteers!

Please contact Emily Bottoni for more information or register to volunteer below!

Greenspace: Adopt-A-Spot Success

A resident of Westwood had a vision of planting wildflower seeds along a heavily littered highway exit with the intention of discouraging litter by growing a wildflower prairie. Community members and Adopt-A-Spot participants spent a Saturday morning picking up litter in addition to spreading soil, raking in wildflower seeds, and laying straw. It is inspirational projects and resident involvement like this that helps to keep neighborhoods beautiful. Keep up the great work!

Corporate Clean-Ups: TQL Snapshot

A hearty thank you to Total Quality Logistics for joining us on a dreary Saturday morning to spruce up Dyer Park in the West End. With a small but mighty crew, we spread new playground mulch, collected litter, and cleared out the picnic area for neighbors to enjoy.

SPONSOR & GRANT UPDATES

Friends of KCB: Monthly Giving

Friends of Keep Cincinnati Beautiful provide critical ongoing support by making a monthly donation. Your gift no matter how large or small will help sustain our programming. For example, a monthly gift of $20 will sponsor a field trip for a class of economically disadvantaged youth. For many of these students, our field trips will be the only outside experiential education they receive all year.
