Celebrate Native American Heritage Month with MC Library
November is Native American Heritage Month, and MC Library invites you to explore our curated resources.
Visit any campus library location to view our Native American Heritage Month displays featuring books, films, and materials highlighting Native American history, identity, and culture.
Our online Native American Heritage guide offers additional resources, including:
• Information about local native communities and landmarks • Book and e-book recommendations • Streaming films and research databases • Local organizations focused on Native American rights, history, and contemporary thought
We encourage employees to utilize these resources for professional development and to share the guide with students as a valuable educational tool during this heritage month.

Open Enrollment 2026 Ends November 7
Montgomery College employees have until Friday, November 7, 2025, at 5 p.m. to finalize their 2026 benefits elections.
All benefits-eligible employees must log into Workday to review and submit their elections, even if no changes are being made. This annual requirement ensures your coverage continues seamlessly into the new year.
The Human Resources and Strategic Talent Management Benefits Team has created resources to guide you through the process. Visit the Open Enrollment website for comprehensive information about 2026 benefit changes and available plans.
Need help deciding? ALEX, the College's virtual benefits advisor, offers personalized recommendations and side-by-side health plan comparisons tailored to your needs.
Review your options and submit your elections before Friday's deadline. Missing this window could mean losing coverage or being locked into default selections for the entire year.
We want to hear from you! Please don’t forget to complete the 2025 Benefits Satisfaction Survey by Friday, November 7.

Unified and Strong: Montgomery College's Brand Architecture
At Montgomery College, “we” means MC. Our strength comes from operating as one college, united in mission, vision, and values. Our brand architecture centers on the primary Montgomery College identity, which represents our shared commitment to students and community.
Why Unity Matters A unified brand amplifies visibility, strengthens reputation, and builds trust. Multiple sub-brands dilute impact. By presenting one cohesive identity, we enhance MC's perception, strengthen recruitment, and build pride across all departments.
Sub-Brand Changes Individual departments, offices, and programs will no longer have separate logos. All areas, including the library, IT, and academic departments, will use the unifying Montgomery College identity.
Limited Exceptions: • Montgomery College Foundation, Alumni Association, and PIC MC (due to unique governance/funding)
• Student Life and Athletics (to foster student pride and engagement)
Resources Visit the Branding page for approved logos, templates, and guidelines.
Reminder When referencing the College in any materials, use “Montgomery College” or the abbreviation MC (typed out). Do not use the logo's purple M/blue C as text shorthand.
If you have any questions, please email the Brand Team.
