If you’ve ever held an exam, hosted a meeting, taught a class, or led a training in the General Education Building, chances are you’ve benefited from the support of the Educational Development Team in AFSA — and now it’s their turn to shine!
Comprised of Learning Spaces Management and Teaching Lab Operations, this behind-the-scenes powerhouse ensures that academic operations run smoothly, and students receive meaningful, hands-on learning experiences.
Most recently, the Teaching Lab Operations team collaborated with the Nurse Midwifery Program to deliver an interactive microscope lab on June 3. Students identified red and white blood cells, examined fern test slides, and even observed their own cheek cells under the microscope.
Midwifery faculty shared their appreciation:
“Thank you so very much for your outstanding coordination and support! Our Nurse Midwifery students thoroughly enjoyed their time working with microscopes, and a couple noted that microscope training was their favorite part of this week’s ‘boot camp.’ We appreciate your willingness to share your expertise!”
We join the Midwifery faculty in applauding the Educational Development Team for their commitment to high-quality academic support and student-centered learning!
