The ART Lighting 
Light is Emotion. The feel of your photography will create an emotion depending upon the lighting set-up and conditions. Learn three lighting techniques and why it’s such an important tool for your projects.  The three types of lighting covered and practiced in the workshop will include: Split, Rembrandt, and Short and Board lighting.

JOURNALISM SCHOLARSHIP FOR AMERICAN MUSLIMS
The Islamic Scholarship Fund offers scholarships for American Muslim undergraduate and graduate students majoring in Journalism with the goal of increasing representation in media and politics in order to improve public opinion and public policy.

The senior political analyst and anchor at CNN will discuss his book, Washington's Farewell: The Founding Father's Warning to Future Generations. The lecture will be followed by a reception with John Avlon. All students in attendance will receive a signed copy of his book.

2020 WID DISTINGUISHED LECTURER: JONATHAN MEIBURG
Join 2020 WID Distinguished Lecturer: songwriter, musician, and ornithologist Jonathan Meiburg as he discusses his forthcoming book, The Feathered People (Knopf). In his first public appearance since 2018, Meiburg will read from the book and discuss the threads that bind together an unusual career in writing, science, and music.
