Hotel Doors Open For Matrix
All frequent travelers out there have likely noticed that fitness has become a focal point – even a primary selling point – for many of the top hotel brands around the world. Gone are the days of tossing a few pieces of outdated equipment in an empty corner room and calling it a fitness center. The hospitality market and its data driven decision-making has discovered the importance of offering a true fitness amenity to guests. This requires selecting the right equipment to satisfy customers who desire to remain physically active away from home. We understand this importance and continue to work towards offering our hospitality partners solutions that can truly satisfy their guests.
Matrix has been enjoying an amazing year in the world of hospitality with notable installs including: Four Seasons Maui and Toronto; Marriott Marble Arch London; Four Points Sheraton Shenzhen; Fairmont Dallas and Scottsdale; and JW Marriott Camelback in Scottsdale. Matrix is proud to be an approved supplier for a number of hotel brands including Marriott, IHG, Hyatt, Four Seasons, and Archer. The new Marriott Brand “AC Hotels” has also selected Matrix as the preferred supplier for their fitness centers. The first property is scheduled to open in Kansas City late this year.
As our growth and global presence continues to expand in this space, we will work diligently to provide a fitness and entertainment experience that will continue to satisfy travelers in every corner of the world. We are not taking this responsibility lightly, as we know that those who utilize hotel fitness centers share a dedication to maintaining their daily routines even while on the road. It is my hope that you are able to benefit from a Matrix-equipped fitness center during your next travels – wherever they may take you!

Matrix Webinar Series
Free Webinar – They vs. We
Please join Matrix Fitness for a webinar presented by Karen Woodard geared towards facility, club and/or hospitality staff looking to make an impact on their business in 2014. This webinar covers the topic of creating a team of “we” rather than “they”. Staff persons at an organization who engage in conversation with potential customers may often reference their organization in terms of “they”, in what could be a negative connotation. Karen will discuss the reasons for this, and cover solutions to help your staff engage customers for a stronger “we” when referencing your organization.
Karen is President of Premium Performance Training in Boulder, Colorado and Ixtapa, Mexico is an international author, speaker and consultant devoted to successful sales, operations, management and hospitality training in the health and wellness industry. She has owned 11 businesses over the past 28 years, sold nine of them and currently operates two businesses. Six of the 11 entities were clubs starting in 1985 with three fitness centers, two indoor rock climbing facilities and a body mind center.
IC7 Unlocked
The Matrix IC7 Indoor Cycle and its Coach By Color® programming continue to take the world by storm. Sales inquiries are pouring in from facilities realizing the potential of power-based workouts blended with coaching by color. Because the multitude of features exhibited by the IC7 is extensive, we wanted to share the following video to help unlock the benefits.
Please watch this introduction to the IC7 by Mike Michaels – NA Program Director at ICG® to understand why the bike and its programming is becoming the number one choice for group studios, personal training centers and cardio floors.

Letter from Johnny G – Krankcycle Makes Splash in Taiwan
The name For Krankcycle® In Chinese is" LEAUN CHEN.” This is translated as "FIST OF THE WHEEL." To me it makes perfect sense: The Krankcycle features a non-impact, upper-body rotational movement. It has a resistance controlled manual flywheel drive that connects to the hands through two independent crank arms.
Wow! This may seem like a mouthful to some, but to anyone who is familiar with the Krankcycle, it is not. It is a simple way to get fit, healthy and have fun!
I recently returned from a trip to Taiwan, and discovered many adventures. One of the best parts was stumbling upon this poster on a street corner in the bustle of a metropolitan city on the other side of the world. Pictures say a thousand words.

Johnny G
