Milestone Announcement - September 17th 2017
The naming of the Rob and Cheryl McEwen Graduate Study & Research Building, as part of the overall Schulich School of Business complex, which will open in late spring 2018, was celebrated during an unveiling ceremony at the new building’s construction site on Sunday, September 17th. The naming was announced following Rob and Cheryl McEwen’s $8-million gift to the Leading Change campaign – one of the largest gifts received by the Schulich School of Business.

On September 17th, 2017, Schulich alumni and friends were the first individuals to deposit their message into the official Schulich Time Capsule.
Don't miss your opportunity to send your message to the future Schulich community! The time capsule will be sealed at the official opening of the new Rob and Cheryl McEwen Graduate Study & Research Building in late Spring 2018 and will not be re-opened until 2068.

Schulich Mentorship Program: Preparing the Students

Students in the Schulich Alumni Mentorship Program
This year more than 500 students enrolled in the alumni mentorship program.  The program includes a mandatory mentorship orientation that equips the students with the tools and best practices for success in the program. The orietations include a professional develoment component on personal branding and social media tips.
Thank you to our alumni Andris Pone (MBA '03), President, Coin Branding Inc., Mark Orlan (MBA '91), Executive Director, IT, Schulich School of Business, and our corporate partner CPA Ontario, Sean MullinCPA Ontario Student Representative for participating in the professional development portion of the student orientations.
Alumni mentors will be receiving requests from students throughout the academic year and we invite all program participants to our speed mentoring reception on October 11th.

Team Empower: Schulich's Hult Prize Finalists

Congratulations to Schulich's team Empower, one of six teams to reach the 2017 Hult Prize finals in New York, on September 16th. Team members Vasiliki Belegrinis (BBA '18), Amal Naufer (BBA '18), Akash Sidhu (BBA '17) and Joseph Truong (BBA '17) focused on empowering refugees around the world through connectivity. 
The Hult Prize Foundation is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to launching the world’s next wave of social entrepreneurs.challenges with innovative ideas.

Almost 30 alumni attended lunch in Shanghai on September 23rd. All enjoyed an afternoon of networking with China chapter president, Jonathan Cheung (MBA '73).

Alumni, students, faculty, and staff participated in the Terry Fox Run on September 17th.  Team Schulich surpassed their fundraising goal with over $3600 in donations.
