Quantitative Analysis and Data Science position at Saint Louis University

Assistant/Associate Professor in Parks, Recreation, Sport and Tourism – Missouri UniversityTenure Track

The School of Natural Resources (SNR) at the University of Missouri (MU) seeks applicants for a full-time, 9-month, tenure-track position of Assistant/Associate Professor, with expertise in recreation resource management/human dimensions of natural resources.

The successful candidate will be expected to make significant contributions to research (45%), teaching (45%), and service (10%). We seek candidates to develop an extramurally funded, high-impact research program that addresses contemporary issues related to policy, visitor experiences, behavior and resource management outdoor recreation; interpretation, outdoor education, and environmental communication; environmental conflict management; human dimensions of natural resources; or other aspects of social behavior and resource management in parks, outdoor recreation, and tourism. The successful candidate will typically teach 3-4 courses per year, supporting the two degrees in the undergraduate curriculum (Parks, Recreation, Sport and Tourism; Natural Resources Science and Management) as well as the graduate program in the School of Natural Resources, focusing on human dimensions of natural resources, outdoor recreation policy, visitor behavior, interpretation of natural and culture resources, and methods in research and evaluation.

Assistant/Associate Teaching Professor, Parks, Recreation, Sport and Tourism – Missouri University – Non Tenure Track

This is a non-tenure-track position 9-month appointment in the School of Natural Resources (SNR; http://www.snr.missouri.edu) at the University of Missouri (MU), Columbia.

The successful candidate is expected to teach undergraduate courses related to Parks, Recreation, Sport and Tourism. Primary responsibilities will include organizing and teaching four undergraduate courses per semester in both spring and fall semesters. Teaching responsibilities may include undergraduate courses such as Personnel Management and Leadership; Ethics and Diversity; Park and Sport Facility Operations; Private and Commercial Recreation and Sport; Introduction to Recreation for Individuals with Disabilities; Finance of Sport, Tourism, and Leisure Services; Introduction to Sport, Recreation, and Tourism; or Methods in Research and Evaluation as well as the opportunity to teach a specialty graduate level courses (total of 8 courses per year), along with advising and mentoring of undergraduate and graduate students. The position will strengthen the education program by teaching across degree emphasis areas to engage students understanding in the field of leisure.

The Sport & Movement Science department at Salem State University is seeking a full-time, temporary faculty member for the 2024-2025 academic year. This position is part of a Salem State initiative to expand the potential of our newly re-designed Recreation, Outdoor & Event Management concentration. Postdoctoral Research Associate Position: West Virginia University School of Natural Resources

The School of Natural Resources at West Virginia University is seeking candidates for a postdoctoral research associate position starting in Spring 2024 or Fall 2024. The successful candidate will focus on the topic of human dimensions associated with visitation in America’s public lands and waters, including National Forests in the Pacific Northwest and the NOAA National Marine Sanctuaries. Part-time Instructor Sport Management (Elon University)

The Department of Sport Management at Elon University seeks to hire part-time instructors for in-person classes, for the 2023-2024 academic year. These appointments are part-time, non-tenure track, and with no guarantee of renewal. Our classes will be in-person either M-W-F, for 70 minutes each class, or T-TH, for 100 minutes each class. We also have a few M-W afternoon classes, for 100 minutes each class.

Courses include but are not limited to: Sport Law, Sport & Media, Sport Communications, Research Methods, Event & Venue Management, Sport Marketing, Sport Promotion & Sales, and Sport Finance. Alternative Spring Break Team Leader

People First Tourism Lab has been collaborating with the Center for Student Leadership and Engagement (https://sle.dasa.ncsu.edu/) for a long while; specifically in the offer of alternative service break programs during Spring Break. Apply now to become a student leader! Selected students are trained in leadership during the Fall semester and then help to plan the trip. As compensation, a portion of your trip will be paid for (depending on the number of student leaders selected and whether you are leading a domestic or international trip). Typically, Student Leadership and Engagement will cover half of the trip cost. Team Leaders will be responsible for fundraising for the balance of their trip.

Spring 2024 Police Intern – Raleigh, NC

Duties and Responsibilities: Each intern will be scheduled ride-a-long assignments in various divisions throughout the department (Field Operations, Investigations, Special Operations, Wake County Court, Police Records, Public Information Office); Take detailed notes of their experiences; Use observation and critical thinking skills to assess situations; As part of the internship program, the student will be required to give an oral presentation about what they experienced and learned throughout their internship. This presentation will be given to the Command Staff after the completion of all assignments within the internship.

Specialized internships are offered to students on a limited basis to a specific working unit, such as Planning, Social Worker, or the Detective Division. Students requiring more than 160 hours per internship will be classified as a Specialized Intern.

Women’s Icepack Media Team

The Women’s Hockey Team at NC State (Women’s Icepack) are looking for more people to join the media team. The team is looking for social media managers, graphic designers, and photographers/videographers. The Women’s Icepack is 4 years old. We won the ACCHL tournament in 2022 and came in second this past season. We are a student organization that is trying to grow to eventually move to be a D3 team. Practices are at 10:45 pm on Sunday nights and games are in Greensboro and other cities. Weekend availability is required and the occasional Friday. Knowledge of hockey is not required but is always welcomed.

Event Operations Technician – DPAC

The Event Operations Technician is responsible for providing facility operations support during all ticketed and non-ticketed events at DPAC. This is a part-time position and hours will vary throughout the year depending on the calendar of events. Hours could range from 10 – 30 hours per week. Digital Marketing Manager – DPAC

The Digital Marketing Manager’s primary role is to assist the marketing department in integrating business and department objectives into successful digital/online marketing initiatives that create awareness and drive revenue. This role will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing DPAC’s digital marketing for upcoming performances through maximized efforts of selling tickets and maintaining DPAC’s values, mission, and brand. This will include managing DPAC’s social media accounts, serving as the webmaster, assisting with all digital marketing efforts, and departmental support.

This position would report to the Senior Director of Marketing & Sales and would work collaboratively with the entire DPAC Marketing team. The Executive Director is responsible for the overall management of the organization, including the planning, execution, and fundraising for the annual two-day festival which is held the third weekend in June. The Outside Services Assistant is responsible for providing the highest level of professionalism and customer service for our Members/Guests by conducting the Golf Operations outside services efficiently.
