VSA Mid-Autumn Festival Hosted by Vietnamese Student Association UC Alumni Mall Lawn
In the Fall, the Vietnamese culture has a celebration that celebrates the good harvest for the season. In Vietnam, the adults usually spend a great deal of time in the fields during the harvest, leaving little time to spend with their families. After the harvest, the celebration provides the opportunity to spend time with family and partake in traditional festivities. This event is a cultural experience and allows all students to celebrate the festival with group activities such as lantern painting and appreciating the full moon with delicious mooncakes. It gives students, faculty, and guests some insight into Vietnamese culture. During this event, we want to not only celebrate the fall but also the Vietnamese people. We would like to show an appreciation for what the Vietnamese have done in the past and have the potential to do in the future. Additionally, participants will have a keepsake to remember the night and showcase the arts of Vietnamese culture.

| Tiger Escort Tiger Safety
Tiger Escort is a personal escort program staffed by students to enhance the safety of persons on campus in the evening. There is no need to walk alone and we heavily encourage use of Tiger Escort if you aren't walking in a group. Normal hours for the Fall and Spring semesters are 6:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m. seven days a week. To request an escort you should call 678.4663 (678.HOME).
While Tiger Escort cannot utilize the golf carts south of the railroad tracks, the service is still available for students needing an escort from South Hall, the Campus Recreation Center, etc. Just call the Tiger Escort number or request the service via the LiveSafe app, and an escort on foot or a Campus Police car will come right over.
After Tiger Escort hours, Police Services provides escorts until dawn, however response time may be dependent upon officer availability. (Note: Use of the escort program as a "taxi" for convenience rather than safety is discouraged, e.g. multiple people wanting a ride because it is raining. Use in this manner detracts from the ability to provide other services. Please do NOT call for an escort after dawn, as Police Service's normal duties restrict them from providing service after that time.)
For more information on Tiger Escort or the LiveSafe app, please visit Police Services.
