A devastating policy shift has put refugee families in crisis and put hope on hold.
The U.S. Refugee Admissions Program is suspended, cutting off federal funding and preventing continued services for 150 newly arrived, legally resettled refugees in the Nashville area.
These families fled violence, persecution, and war in search of safety. They followed the legal process, were thoroughly vetted by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, and arrived in Tennessee in late 2024 with the promise of a fresh start.
Here’s the crisis they now face:
✅ Catholic Charities provides services upfront and then receives federal reimbursement.
✅ Now, with funding suspended, reimbursement will not come—leaving these individuals without critical support.
✅ Without immediate help, they will not be able to secure housing, jobs, and basic necessities and a path to self-reliance.
You can change that.
