Please make sure you're
scanning the document as a TIF or TIFF file (NOT in another format later converted to TIFF) in black and white (not color or grayscale). Please use at least 300 dpi, and scan in 8.5 x 11” page size.
Not scanning in this format could result in scoring issues, especially if the scanned file is illegible.
We recommend that you feed all of your Answer Sheets together through the scanner so that it becomes one TIFF file to upload. However, you can also individually scan each Answer Sheet and upload them in a ZIP file. The ZIP file must contain original TIFF files.
Other tips for a clean scan:
1) Make sure you can see both barcodes and squares in each of the four corners. These need to be read by our system to file the sheet with the correct student.
2) Bubbles need to be fully filled in - please complete the bubbles if your students did not do so, to ensure legibility in our system.
Not sure how to scan your files as TIFFs?
Here is a
sample guide to scan images as TIFF. Please note that the actual steps can differ for each scanner. If you cannot see the option on a scanner at school, please contact your IT department.
