Dear Office of Undergraduate Research Community,
Welcome to the fall semester 2026! We are excited to be entering into a new academic year with all of you. U Research activities for the fall semester are robust, including, newly emerging research endeavors. As folks begin their fall semesters, we welcome our campus community: new students entering our campus, students returning to complete their degrees, and faculty and staff who are a core part of the U's educational commitments.
Every semester of coursework completed, research accomplished, and experiences obtained, gets a student closer to completing their degrees. And we want to share with you a reminder that here at the U, students can earn an Undergraduate Research Scholar Designation. For 2025 - 2026 nearly 200 designations appeared in student transcripts!
For our faculty, as you prepare to post your syllabi, check out our events with the Undergraduate Research Education Series where you will find useful resources for incorporating supplemental information in your classroom – over 100 video content available from abstract writing, to writing a literature review, and even presenting your research poster. And we invite all faculty to submit to be a 2027 SPUR faculty mentor.
Due date: October 4th.
Meet the members of the OUR team - they are here to support students!
