Welcome Greeners!

The staff in Student Affairs and Inclusive Excellence & Student Success (IESS) are excited to welcome you back to campus for the 2021-2022 academic year! Our community is navigating a new phase of the pandemic, embracing the renewed call for racial justice and equity, and watching climate change in real time. We also have an opportunity to re-imagine a healthier, more inclusive society as we build our community together.
Student Affairs and Inclusive Excellence & Student Success are two areas of the college that focus on student services.  We want to share Fall quarter details regarding our offices and service hours, which reflect our commitment to a safe and healthy return to campus.  During this transitional period, service hours may be limited and they may change as we continue to monitor the COVID-19 pandemic and our community. Please continue to check Evergreen’s COVID-19 webpage for the most up-to-date information.

Student Affairs

An essential service, the Children's Center is open and virtual tours are available.
Student Activities supports student groups, student governance, and all student fee funded programs. The Student Activities Office is open Monday – Thursday from 10-am-5pm, and staff are available virtually on Friday. We are offering on-campus events, following current COVID protocols.
Housing is open and we have approximately 400 students living in campus apartments this fall. The Greenery, Einstein’s Bagels and the POD market in the HCC are open with varied hours. Residential and Dining Services (RAD) staff are looking forward to connecting with students and can be reached at rad@evergreen.edu or by phone at (360) 867-6132.
The staff of Student WellnessRecreation and Athletics offer many resources to support the health and well-being of our students. We care about you! We acknowledge the strangeness of our current situation and the different types of stress and anxiety people are experiencing. Student Wellness Services is providing services via telehealth and scheduled appointments.  Phones and front desk will be staffed 10-5 Mon-Thurs and 10-12 on Friday.  Appointments are available outside those hours, including evenings.
Hours for the Constantino Recreation Center will be shared as soon as we have finished hiring student staff.  Be sure to checkout the disc golf course, Evergreen trails, tennis courts, track and field, and the other great outdoor activities
Geoduck athletes are currently competing in women's volleyball, and women and men's soccer. Women's and men's basketball and track & field will begin later in the year. Show your Geoduck spirit by attending some of our home games!
The Student Employment Office is here to help Evergreen students find part time employment. All employment opportunities are advertised on Handshake and include paid positions, internships, fellowships and volunteer opportunities.
The Office of Student Rights & Responsibilities (SRR) coordinates the process for students whose rights may have been violated and for students who may have violated the Code. Guiding principles of our work are due process and fairness, respect and human dignity, and equity-minded student support. If you have questions about using this resource, contact us at conduct@evergreen.edu.

Inclusive Excellence and Student Success

Inclusive Excellence and Student Success aims to re-imagine the success of all students and build awareness of equity issues across the college. We invite you to bring your whole self to Evergreen!
Fall service hours in the below areas are generally Mon/Tues 9-5, Wed/Thurs 10-7, and Friday 9-2, unless otherwise noted.
If you need to register for a program or course, are considering changing your program placement, or would just like to talk with an Advisor about how to launch a successful year, we encourage students to use zoom drop-ins for all your advising needs.  If students need immediate help with their registration and program placement, we encourage them to book their appointment on our webpage. If you visit the IESS front desk in Evans Hall 2153, you’ll be assisted by staff or peer advisors to book an in-person or virtual appointment.
Holistic Support for Our Diverse Students
Evergreen's students are richly diverse and include students with disabilities, BIPOC students, LGBTQ+, first generation, and low-income students, as well as students with intersectional identities. If this is you, we encourage you to reach out to connect with these support services:
Access Services provides support for students with disabilities and can determine reasonable and appropriate accommodations for student learning and success.
First Peoples Multicultural Trans and Queer Support Services offers support for students of color and LGBTQ+ students. This fall, our Multicultural Initiatives Coordinator and Peer Navigators will be available for office hours both virtually and in-person in the Student Equity and Arts Lounge (SEAL).  Their hours will be posted on the above site soon.  We are in the process of hiring new staff for First Peoples, so stay tuned to participate in interviews for our Trans and Queer Initiatives Coordinator.
TRiO Student Success provides holistic support to students who are low-income, first-generation, and/or those with documented disabilities.  Our staff work to empower students for academic success to graduation.

Resource Advocacy and Basic Needs Support

In collaboration with the Center for Community-Based Learning & Action (CCBLA), we also provide Basic Needs support for students experiencing food, housing, and other insecurities.  Check out Evergreen’s twice-monthly Pop-Up Food Bank  and our Advocacy Resource Center for holistic student support.
