BIG NEWS - The Stock Market Game™

Thanks to a small group of very generous donors, The Stock Market Game™ is now available for all Arkansas students AT NO COST! In the past, schools have had to pay a $15.00 entry fee for each competing student team. While scholarships and grants were available to cover these fees, the cost of competing was still a deterrent for many teachers.

Now, all 4-12th grade student teams are able to play the investment simulation for free and without the hassle of applying for supplemental funding.

Bessie B. Moore Teaching Award - 2021-22 Winners

The Bessie B. Moore Awards Program recognizes Arkansas teachers for going "above and beyond" what is required by developing outstanding economic and personal finance projects they integrate into the classroom during the school year.
The recipients are visited by the "Bessie Brigade" each fall with a monetary award, a basket of goodies, and "The Bessie." The 2021-22 award winners are:
  • April Blackburn, Anne Watson Elementary, Bigelow School District

"I think the Stock Market Game is an excellent way to get students involved in investing. As a teacher, I have learned something every year that I have my students participate. I especially enjoy playing myself."
