Baylor University's Office of Innovation & Economic Development supports institution- wide efforts to increase the quality and quantity of activity and outcomes around innovation, startups, and job creation with an emphasis on enhancing Waco's technology & innovation economic ecosystem.

The Central Texas Cyber Hub (in partnership with Baylor, McLennan Community College, and Central Texas College) will be hosting a free, hands-on cybersecurity camp for high school students (grades 8-12) June 22-26, 2026, at the Baylor Research + Innovation Collaborative Cyber Range.

With over 42,000 cybersecurity job openings in Texas alone, this five-day camp introduces students to this high-demand career through hacking exercises, industry speakers, and a culminating competition. No experience necessary and all materials provided free of charge.

The Office of Innovation & Economic Development is proud to recognize our Baylor inventors who have advanced the technology transfer process between December 1 and January 15 through invention disclosures and patent issuance.
