Dear Student,
As you are currently enrolled in a First-Year Writing Program course (ENG 1, 2, 3 or 4), we are writing to remind you about the attendance policy regarding your class. To retain their seat in this class, students are required to attend the first two class meetings of English 1, 2, 3 and 4. This policy is in effect because enrollment is limited in First-Year Writing classes. In case of emergency, students must contact the instructor beforehand for permission to miss the initial class meetings. If students fail to do so, they and their advisor will be notified, and their place will be filled from the waiting list.
