Celebrating National Nurse Practitioner Week!Nurse Practitioners, along with Physician Assistants and Certified Nurse Midwives, provide over half of the Title X services and are central to the success of the Title X mission of high-quality care, equity, and access. The NCTCFP recognizes and celebrates the hard work of these dedicated clinical service providers in the community.
The American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) highlights the NP role and increases awareness of the exceptional care NPs provide. This year's theme is NPs: Rising to Meet the Needs of Patients. View the resource guide put together by AANP in recognition of this appreciation week.

Please answer a short survey about whether or not your clinic provides or is interested in providing vasectomy services. This information is used to help NCTCFP understand where vasectomy services are being provided and if there is a desire for training or technical assistance.

- The new IUC Training package is a 3-part series: (1) a self-paced pre-work course, (2) IUC placement skills training, (3) a review of challenging cases
- All Virtual IUC Training cohorts are full for 2022
- LARC training in 2023 will remain free for Title X providers, but prices will increase for Non-Title X providers

Federally funded Title X clinics offer a broad range of family planning services, including contraceptive education, counseling, and methods. These free or low-cost services are available for all who want and need them. Now, the Clinic Locator has a user-friendly URL: reproductivehealthservices.gov. Birthcontrol.gov and familyplanning.gov also direct users to the website. Please promote the new URL by adding the link to your websites, flyers, tweets, and e-newsletters.

From the Reproductive Health National Training Center (RHNTC)Recognizing Urgent Maternal Warning Signs in the Postpartum Period WebinarThursday, December 8 at 3–4 pm ETPregnancy-related deaths can occur up to one year after the end of pregnancy, yet more than 80% of maternal deaths are preventable. Native American, Alaska Native, and Black women are two to three times more likely to die of pregnancy-related causes than White women. Join the RHNTC for a webinar covering the importance of screening for and flagging urgent maternal warning signs to reduce the chance of missing postpartum warning signs—like cardiomyopathy—that can lead to maternal death. Speakers from the Alliance for Innovation on Maternal Health (AIM) will also share strategies and resources from AIM and the RHNTC that can support providers and staff to recognize and respond to urgent maternal warning signs. This session is intended for non-obstetrical clinical services providers and staff.
Reducing Barriers in Access to Care Virtual Tour
Reducing barriers in access to care is key to advancing equity in sexual and reproductive health and impacting individual and maternal health outcomes. This virtual tour from the RHNTC introduces patient stories and walks the participant through key organizational, structural, and clinical barriers to accessing family planning care. The tour guide recommends actions to address each potential barrier and resources to support agencies in implementing these recommendations.

From The Adolescent Health InitiativeIntersections: Supporting youth, their identities, and their mental health needs across disciplines February 22, 2023, 12 - 5 pm ET
Registration is now open for the Adolescent Health Initiative’s 2023 Connection Session, Intersections: Supporting youth, their identities, and their mental health needs across disciplines. The 2023 Connection Session is set to be held on Wednesday, February 22, 2023, from 12 to 5 PM EST in a hybrid format, with the in-person portion of this event being hosted at the Eastern Michigan University (EMU) Student Center.
The event will work to increase adolescent health professionals' capacity to support adolescents' mental health needs through culturally responsive, youth-centered practices. The 2023 Connection Session will support attendees in developing actionable strategies around being an "askable adult" as it relates to mental health, acquiring community-centered resources, and building cross-discipline collaboration. Centering the voices of communities marginalized by systems of power will be at the event's core and will equip attendees to better understand mental health in the context of intersectionality.
