Help Shape the New Wisconsin Food Access Map! |
You are invited to participate in a hands-on user testing session for the newly developed Wisconsin Food Access Map, focusing on Northeast Wisconsin.
As a key collaborator working in public health, community gardens, food distribution, local government, or a nonprofit, your perspective is vital. We want to ensure this tool is intuitive, useful, and effective for the residents and organizations we serve. Feel free to forward this invite to anyone else in your group who might be interested.

- Date: Tuesday, June 2
-
Time: 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM - feel free to bring your lunch along. Drinks and light snacks will be provided.

What is the Wisconsin Food Access Map?
This is a statewide, interactive tool designed to connect people with local, nutritious, affordable, and accessible food options. It consolidates data that is often scattered across different platforms, including:
Farmers markets, farm stands, and CSAs
Grocery stores and specialty cultural markets
EBT-accepting locations
Food banks and distribution sites
Food assistance programs
Why Your Feedback Matters:
The map is currently in its pilot phase. Our goal is to paint a comprehensive picture of food accessibility in Wisconsin, but we know that no single dataset can do that alone. During this one-hour session, we want to learn:
How intuitive the navigation is for different users.
If the information you need most is easy to find.
Which features are most helpful and where we can simplify.
Your insights will directly inform improvements to the map before its broad public launch.
Please RSVP by May 28 by responding to this Google Sign-Up Form. We look forward to collaborating with you to make food access data more accessible for all Wisconsin residents.
