Parent and Family Weekend is a great time for students to spend time with their family members on campus, as they connect with the University of Memphis and experience life as a Tiger! This 3-day event will be filled with fun traditions and unique activities for the whole family. Students should invite their family members to register and participate! Career Services and the Office of First Gen will host the UC Takeover to prepare students for the All-Majors Career Fair!

The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), formerly known as Food Stamps, helps individuals and families put food on the table.

College students may be eligible for SNAP based on one of the following:

- Participate in a work-study program
- Work 80 hours per month
- Care for a child under age 6
- Single parent caring for a child under 12 & enrolled full-time
- Be under age 18 OR over age 49
- Have a documented physical or mental disability;
- Receive a Families First (TANF) or Social Security benefits
- Attend school as part of an employment readiness program

The Counseling Center at the University of Memphis is a comprehensive agency providing personal/psychological counseling, career counseling and psychological/vocational testing for students. TISL Delegation Apps Open!

Applications are currently open for this year's delegation to attend the TISL's General Assembly in November of this year in Nashville, TN at the State Capitol. Applications can be found on TigerZone. Tennessee Intercollegiate State Legislature is a forum for students to exchange ideas, express their opinions and learn how government works. TISL offers 4 different departs: legislative, judicial/moot court, media, and lobbying. Applications will close on September 18th.
