VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
The global pandemic changed how we interact with one another and how we approach volunteer opportunities. Many organizations have pivoted away from in-person volunteering, but that does not make the virtual opportunities any less valuable to your development as a prehealth student!
Take a look at our list of over 100+ volunteer opportunities in the area. We will be updating this list throughout the semester, so be sure to check back often!
Below is an organization that has openings and can help you develop several competencies!
Hearty Meals for All aims to meet a community need by providing wholesome meals that incorporate fresh produce, lean meats, and fresh dairy products. They use local ingredients whenever possible and all meals are homemade - so processed food is kept to a minimum.
Meals are served in a warm welcoming atmosphere where individuals and families can enjoy their food, socialize and have a good time. In addition to delicious food, meals often include live music, SNAP registration and other outreach efforts, and more. Many guests come every single month, and the connections built together strengthen throughout the year.
Hearty Meals for All are made possible by volunteers and other do-gooders – and that could include YOU!
