Steps to Access University Systems ASAP
To ensure you are set up to receive important information and communications, you must create your VUnetID and enroll in Duo Security, Vanderbilt University's multifactor authentication solution. You will receive an email from the Office of the University Registrar with instructions to complete your VUnetID. Click here for detailed instructions and support.

Immunization Requirements ASAP
Review the immunizations that you are required to receive before arriving on campus. You will not be able to register for classes until your immunization and tuberculosis documents have been received, reviewed, and approved for compliance by Student Health.

Visa Information ASAP
International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) at Vanderbilt will process the immigration document, Form I-20 (F-1) or Form DS-2019 (J-1) Certificate of Eligibility, that you need to obtain your student visa. The I-20/DS-2019 will be issued after you complete and submit your Initial I-20/DS-2019 Student Request, which can be accessed from the online requests in the ISSS Portal. If you are in another visa category and do not require F or J visa sponsorship, please submit your visa documentation to ISSS.

Housing Application June 15
Vanderbilt offers upper-division students three different types of on-campus housing: residential colleges, living learning communities, and traditional upper-division housing. To apply for housing, log into the Housing Portal via the Housing and Residential Experience Website with your VUNetID. Once logged in, click on the Applications menu, and complete the Housing Application. Learn more about upper-division housing.

Reasonable Housing Accommodation Requests June 15
If you are seeking accessible housing accommodations due to a physical, psychological, or other disability-related limitation, contact Student Access prior to June 15. Review the information regarding reasonable accommodations and documentation guidelines. Following a decision that a housing accommodation is needed for access, Student Access will notify Housing and Residential Experience. The office will make every effort to find an appropriate and reasonable assignment as recommended by Student Access.

Log into Your Enrollment Services (YES) Portal to check your progress on several of the critical tasks and input your emergency contact information. Note it takes up to four days for changes in YES to appear within the portal.

Pre-Arrival Form & Orientation: Transfer student move-in for fall 2024 will be on Friday, August 16. Learn more about International Transfer Student Move-In.
International Student Orientation (ISO) for undergraduates begins on August 15 and is optional for new international transfer students. After ISO, you will join your domestic peers to participate in the required Transfer Student Orientation program. If you would like to attend ISO and, therefore, move in on August 14, please email residentialcolleges@vanderbilt.edu by July 15 to be assigned an International Orientation Leader.
Be sure to complete the Pre-Arrival Form by July 15. This form is available in the Housing Portal under the Applications menu and requires travel details, including your arrival date/time, mode of transportation, and information about who might be joining you at orientation. Note that you will not be able to access the pre-arrival form until you have submitted your housing application.

Transfer Connect:Transfer Connect, a student organization whose members are Transfer Student Leaders (TSLs), offers support, guidance and community to transfer students throughout their transition to academic and student life at Vanderbilt. Over the summer, you will be assigned a TSL who will serve as your guide at orientation and peer mentor throughout the fall semester. TSLs facilitate transfer group meetings during Transfer Student Orientation, beginning on Transfer Student Move-In on August 16, and host ongoing programming open to all transfer students.
