Updates from Judy K. Orr, Executive Director

Dear Friends,
At this year’s Festival of Hope, held on April 29, I was deeply moved by the powerful stories of resilience shared by those we serve.
These neighbors—often displaced, uncertain, and struggling with the basics—remind us that hope is the best gift we can give. That hope is possible only because of people like you.
We were blessed to gather with so many of you—faith leaders, volunteers, sponsors, and community partners—to celebrate what we can accomplish together. Thank you for showing up with such generosity of heart.
As Pope Francis wrote in his final work, Hope, The Autobiography:
“It is hope that keeps life going, protects it, takes care of it, helps it to grow.”
Let’s continue to grow that hope, together. If you haven’t yet, it’s not too late to make a gift today and help sustain the work we do.

Volunteers Are the Heart of Catholic Charities
|
At the Festival, we honored the many hands and hearts behind our mission—from Montgomery Bell Academy, where students have volunteered with us each year for over 40 years, to our faithful parish and parochial school partners whose service sustains our work.
Will you join them?
We welcome individuals, families, schools, churches, and businesses who want to make a meaningful impact. From mentoring families to serving meals and more—there’s a place for you here.
| Save the Date: Kaleidoscope Celebration – June 14!
|
Join us for Kaleidoscope, a free, family-friendly event celebrating culture, faith, and community—hosted by Catholic Charities in partnership with the YMCA and Habitat for Humanity. More details coming soon.
|
Thank you for being a beacon of love, hope, and healing. Let’s continue to walk together in service of our neighbors.
God Bless You!
