Summer is coming to an end, we congratulate all of our summer undergraduate researchers and appreciate all of our program partners of faculty and staff who supported undergraduate research.We invite the U's research community to drop-in to the Undergraduate Research Symposium August 1st 9AM - 12PM at the Alumni House. 241 students are presenting their research representing 95 different universities (including 6 high schools) from across the US.
Undergraduate researchers will be presenting their research in a variety of fields and disciplines from the creative and performing arts, humanities, health and medicine, STEM, and social sciences.
In addition to OURs Summer Program for Undergraduate Research and UROP (Undergraduate Research Opportunity Program) scholars, student researchers come from a range of research teams including program partners who we appreciate for their leadership: 5 For The Fight Cancer Research Internship, Chemistry REU, Genomics Summer Research for Magnificents (GSRM) Internship, HAPPIEST (Health, Air Pollution and Population Initiative in Education and Science Training), Haumana 'O Pasifika, Huntsman Cancer Institute Pathmaker Program, Materials Science and Engineering REU, Native American Research Internship (NARI), Physics & Astronomy REU, Research Experiences to Advance the Careers of HBCU Undergraduates at the University of Utah (REACH U2) in Health Disparities Research, Research Experience in ALpine Meteorology (REALM) REU
(NSF REU), Research Experience in Utah for Sustainable Materials Engineering (ReUSE), RUUTE Summer Undergraduate Research Experience (SURE), and Wilkes Scholars Program. Student researchers also named other research teams such as the BYU Simmons Center for Cancer Research, Carleton Summer Internship, INSPIRE Summer Research, Physics and Astronomy Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF), Sarcoma Scholars, Science Research Initiative.
