Welcome to AFSA, Federico Gomez-Uroz Horst!
|
Federico Gomez-Uroz Horst began his role as an Instructional Consultant at the Teaching and Learning Center on September 9th, 2024. Originally from Almería, Spain, Federico has a B.S. and M.S. in Psychology, a B.A. in Romance Languages (Spanish and Spanish-American Literature), and a Graduate Certificate in Instructional Design and Technology. Previously Federico served as faculty in Languages for more than 18 years. Developing instructional design skills along the way he realized that he could have a greater impact as an educator in this role. He has worked in course and program design and development before, and has worked with faculty experts in different disciplines, focusing on building bridges between teachers and students. As an Instructional Consultant he works closely with faculty to develop teaching strategies that can bring their expertise, their learning goals, and the needs of the students together. Federico supports the Teaching and Learning Center by working with faculty to build bridges that promote student learning. He is passionate about practical pedagogy and inclusive education, and believes in using the power of education to greatly change the lives of students and educators alike.
