NOURISHING NEIGHBORS
The Warm Hearth Foundation is proud to announce a generous $4,000 grant from the Food Lion Feeds Charitable Foundation to support Micah’s Pantry, an essential program that provides food and basic necessities to seniors in need across Warm Hearth Village.
With nearly one-third of our residents living on very low fixed incomes, Micah’s Pantry has become a lifeline, offering shelf-stable goods, fresh produce, prepared meals, and personal care items. In just one month, the program supported 84 residents, distributing over 1,600 pounds of USDA cheese and food boxes, $3,300 in Millstone Kitchen meals, and $2,900 in Red Sun Farms produce.
This new grant will help us expand access to fresh fruits and vegetables and strengthen local partnerships that make this work possible. As Tambra Dixon, Vice President of Philanthropy & Strategic Growth, shared, “We are extremely grateful for this support, which allows us to stock the shelves with food our residents need and request—and bring dignity and health to their daily lives.”
Together with our community and generous partners, such as Food Lion, we are feeding not only homes but also hearts—one meal at a time.
