Hello Tufts Jumbo,
Are you wondering how to find a job on or off campus? We're introducing the Student Employment Office this week to help get you started!

This Week's News and Announcements

What kind of jobs are available through Student Employment?

The Student Employment Office can help you find and apply for a variety of positions:
  • Federal Work Study and Non-Work Study
  • On-Campus and Off-Campus
  • Clerical, Dining, Laboratory Assistance, Specialized Administration, Community Service, Child Care/Babysitting, and many more

How do I look for and apply for jobs?

We help students look for the right position, as well as take them through the steps of applying:
  • You can look for jobs on JobX, our employment database.
  • If you find an on-campus position on JobX, you can apply online.
  • If you find an off-campus position, you'll be able to contact the employer directly.
Most jobs are posted at the start of the semester, so don't worry if you don't see many positions yet. The list of positions is updated daily!

What documents do I need to bring with me?

If you plan to work on campus, you should bring your Social Security Card and/or Passport with you to complete the hiring process.
International students will receive additional instructions related to the hiring process when they arrive on campus.

What if I have a question?

The Student Employment Office is here to help answer any questions you have about jobs on or off campus.

How do I get paid?

The majority of the students employed by Tufts are hourly employees who are paid on a weekly basis, and all students are paid by the University through direct deposit.
