Hornet WOW is Almost Over!

Dear Hornet,

The six weeks of Hornet WOW are almost over, but that doesn't mean the fun has to stop! The first several weeks of the semester are an amazing time for you to make new connections, build community and focus on your overall wellbeing.

You are invited to participate in Sacramento State's Weeks of Welcome, Hornet WOW. Hornet WOW is a jam-packed six weeks of events and activities to provide you with an epic start to what is sure to be a thrilling semester!

Tuesday, September 19

Inclusive Spaces Mixer (1-3 p.m., Main Quad)

Join your campus community in engaging with Sacramento State equity and affinity centers and participating in fun outdoor activities!

Stress Less Puppies (1-4 p.m., Library Quad)

Immerse yourself in a haven of relaxation as your stress is melted away by friendly therapy dogs. Spend quality time petting, playing, and finding comfort in the company of these adorable canines.

Wednesday Nooner: J Kent of LOOK@U! Music Group (12 p.m., Serna Plaza)

Join UNIQUE Programs at the University Union Serna Plaza for a FREE hip-hop concert! It's also Crazy Hat Day! Wear your craziest hat for the chance to win a prize!

HERE TO CAREER: What is an Elevator Pitch? (12:30-1:30 p.m., Virtual)

Learn how to prepare yourself by developing an elevator pitch that will impress! Hosted by the Career Center in collaboration with Hailey Morton, director of campus recruitment for Northwestern Mutual.

Basic Needs Resource Fair (12-3 p.m., Library Quad)

Get connected with local resources that help aid and continue to promote overall health and wellness.

MEET THE EMPLOYER: Frank, Rimerman + Co. LLP (12:30-1:30 p.m., University Union Orchard Suite)

Join representatives from Frank, Rimerman + Co. LLP as they discuss their internship and employment opportunities and give tips on how to apply!

Friday, September 22

8 Ball Billiards and Table Tennis Tournaments (12-1 p.m., University Union Games Room)

Join us for a University Union Games Room Tournament! Tournaments will be hosted in the Games Room, 1st floor of the University Union. Sign up now on Discord!

WELLcome Back: Hornets Have S'more Fun! (1-4 p.m., The WELL)

Get ready for activities, fun, learn more about our WELL programs and win prizes! Grand prizes include: Apple AirPods, inflatable kayak, Ninja Blender, gift cards and much more!

Yosemite Camping Trip (Friday, September 22 at 7 a.m.- Saturday, September 23 at 6 p.m., Peak Adventures)

Come camping in Yosemite National Park! This three-day camping trip will take you through some of the best sights that the Sierras has to offer. Spots tend to fill up early, sign up soon!
