It’s the perfect time to Explore Gresham before summer turns to fall. Visit three parks, green spaces or trails and one local business. Turn in your passport to City Hall for a signature Explore Gresham 32 oz water bottle.

Trail repairs

The Springwater Trail is closed from 174th Avenue and Jenne Road for PGE utility work. A detour around directs people and bicycle traffic to Powell Boulevard. The closure is scheduled weekdays 8 am-4 pm to Aug. 26.
Wy'East Way from Bella Vista to Civic Drive is closed to pedestrians and cyclists until the end of September to rebuild the connection path to the north and regrade the trail. A detour is in place. Learn more.

Local COVID-19 vaccine clinics

Multnomah County hosts free vaccination clinics at Mt. Hood Community College and the East County Health Center. You do not need health insurance or to bring any identification. Everyone is welcome and no one will be turned away. Vaccine clinics. The County is also at The People's Market at Rockwood from 4-7 pm Thursdays. No appointment necesary.

Metro placemaking grants

We're sharing good news from Metro, who is awarding Community Placemaking grants from $5,000 to $25,000. Grants support equity-centered arts and culture efforts that strengthen people's connections to each other and places they care about. Apply by Oct. 1 for funds in 2022. No matching funds required! A Zoom virtual info session is from noon-1 pm Thursday, Aug. 19.
