EQUINE CAMP at NIHI SUMBA

Sumba . Indonesia .

Become a part of the herd! At NIHI Sumba, guests can saddle up for rides on the sand, through the island's lush green trails, and right into the Indian Ocean just as the Sumbanese have for generations!
And for the little ones, there's NIHI's Kids' Pony Club for ages 3-12: a playful way to connect with ponies through beach rides, jungle treks, grooming, braiding, and even unicorn painting.
Whether guests are seasoned horse riders or looking to try something new, NIHI Sumba's equine experiences are a recipe for an unforgettable adventure.

ALPINE ADVENTURES with POST LECH

Lech . Austria .

In the charming Austrian Alps town of Lech, the expert local guide organization runs a weekly alpine camp for children and families that would put many U.S. camps to shame – and it's free of charge to children staying at Post Lech!
From climbing, to mountain biking, archery and canyoning, the activities all take place outdoors in the incredible mountain setting of the Arlberg.
Activities are suitable for children 5 and up. Parents can take the day off or join for a fee. And everyone can feel safe with these alpine guides who've each passed rigorous training.
Each day brings a different activity: Monday is archery in the Burgwald forest; Tuesday, e-bike tours through the Arlberg; Wednesday and Friday bring family canyoning on Alpine cliffs; and Thursday is climbing day.

WORKSHOPS at APPELLATION

Healdsburg . California .

Sonoma County's Appellation Healdsburg is about more than just wine-tasting experiences and great dining. Thanks to Charlie Palmer's ownership, the hotel has a full slate of workshops and classes for guests who want a mini "camp" experience all year long.
This summer, try ikebana flower arranging or embroidered photography one week, Griffo Whiskey Education the next, and Hive-to-Table honey tasting in between. And of course a pasta making class for good measure. Saturdays rotate between yoga flows, sound bath meditations, and spa wellness mornings.
Campers will celebrate big on the Fourth of July with line dancing, a Sparkle & Stir mixology class and pressed flower workshop.

ARTS & CRAFTS at SUNDANCE

Sundance . Utah .

At Sundance Mountain Resort, the whole family is encouraged to build memories together in the Utah mountains with plentiful opportunities to go hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding and even ziplining and fly-fishing with expert guides.
In the art studio, kids 7 and up can join most classes alongside their parents, while those 10+ can craft friendship bracelets and jewelry using real silver in the resort's popular jewelry-making class. Little ones ages 3-6 have their own studio classes too, with a guardian tagging along. It's summer camp, minus the bunk beds and sloppy Joes!
