Notice of Required Training
Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP)
As a valued member of our Sac State community, your safety and security is important to us, especially in this time of transition when many of you are starting to return to work in person on campus again.
As we return to campus, we wanted to alert you of two required trainings, our Emergency Response Program and the Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP). This message will explain the IIPP training and an additional message about the Emergency Response Program will be sent to you in about a month.
The CSU has updated the IIPP training to ensure that you have the most current information, and all employees have been automatically assigned this training within CSU Learn. CSU Learn will track your progress, note when the trainings have been completed, and will notify you via email when it is time to renew. We will now require all employees to take the IIPP training every three (3) years to keep the material fresh and effective, per Cal-OSHA requirements.
If you have received an email from CSU Learn to complete this training, you have been identified as someone who needs to take it again. We encourage you to take it as soon as possible, and the training should take less than an hour.
Extended Due Date
Please note, the two-week completion due date for this training as shown within CSU Learn has been extended to October 1, 2021, because of the significant issues with returning to work after such an extended period of time away. You will continue to receive reminder notices from the CSU Learn system during this time but will still have until October 1 to complete it. In addition, no overdue reports for this specific training will be sent to managers/supervisors until after October 1.
This training is separate from and in addition to the COVID-19 Safety Training, which must be completed before returning to campus.
We know your families and loved ones are counting on you to stay well and safe while you work for the University, and this IIPP training course will provide you with the knowledge and support you need to do that.
