Experiment with paper collage in STRIPES!, the video class series that models the lined notebook paper technique used for illustrating Miss Alaineus. This FREE cutting-paper-together class is now on Vimeo. (This series served thousands of virtual students and their teachers during COVID.)

September brought Helene to our doorstep. This is me, holding the ironic sign for the tree across our street in front of our house ... It was only later that we would know that there were hundreds of trees down in our neighborhood alone. We got off relatively easy: only one tree fell against our house, and a couple in our back yard. It is now mostly repaired. The land and water will take longer to heal, but the City of Asheville is now up and running and inviting all of you to come visit and help with our recovery.

2024 was a tough year around our house. I recovered from a brush with cancer just in time to visit the Alphabet Forest at the Minnesota State Fair, (founded 2010), where Shannon Buchda surprised me, big time! I count this named (red) bench at the Minnesota State Fair as the greatest blue ribbon, EVER! Thank you, Shannon!

The Scissors Paper Glue news is brought to you by Debra Frasier's Paper Camp where you can find the free STRIPES! class.
