Congratulations to Dr. Sharon Valente on her accomplishment!

Please extend you congratulations to Dr. Sharon Valente, on being selected for a Partner Class as part of the 2024-2025 Partners in Policymaking™ Leadership Institute! In this role Dr. Valente will be contributing to advocacy for those with disabilities. This contributes to the State of Tennessee's Plans and Goals from the council on Developmental Disabilities, mainly The Federal Developmental Disabilities Act:
- Supporting advocacy (making sure the voices of people with disabilities and their families are heard)
- Building capacity (growing the disability supports that are available)

Systems change (making services better for people with disabilities)
Dr. Valente will begin in September of 2024. More information can be found here!
