Hi there,
November has come and gone and now it's time for Miami students to put their knowledge to the test with final exams. What a semester!
Thank you to those who celebrated International Education Week with us last month by attending events in Oxford and at the Regional campuses! While we celebrated on campus, President Greg Crawford traveled to the nation's capital to accept the 2019 Senator Paul Simon Award for Campus Internationalization, a prestigious honor awarded by NAFSA: Association of International Educators. Miami was one of five institutions to receive this honor.

Did you know these fun facts about Roshika?

  • I love learning new languages. I can currently speak Nepali, Hindi and English and I am learning Korean and Spanish.
  • I studied abroad last winter 2018-2019 in Nepal. We trekked in the himalayas and did the annapurna circuit. I had an amazing time there learning about the culture and experiencing new things. I hope to go back soon.
  • After I graduate, I plan to attend medical school and become a physician. Once I become accomplished, I hope to volunteer in third world countries to help children's education and health.
  • I have been to Hong Kong, Nepal and India. My dream destination is İstanbul, Turkey and pretty much all of Europe.
  • Apart from learning new languages, I love reading books and organizing. Some of my favorite books are A Thousand Splendid Suns and A Train to Istanbul.
