Member Memo - Monday -  March 16, 2020

I know it's been a tough road for all of you, with so many events canceling and now tasting rooms being closed for tasting.
When we canceled the 2nd weekend of Barrel Tasting we made every effort to keep visitors informed as to who was open and echoing your commitment to providing a safe environment for visitors. We are in uncharted territory, doing our best to keep visitors informed, without promising what we clearly cannot predict.
Wine Road refunded approx. $350,000 to ticket buyers from Wine & Food Affair and now $150,000 from the 2nd Weekend of Barrel Tasting, so we understand your loss of revenue. These cancellations will make a huge impact on the marketing and public relations programs we had in place. Our next Board meeting will be focused solely on defining our biggest challenges going forward, and determining how we can best serve our members.
We are all in this together, if we support each other, we will come out of this better prepared for the next chapter. Tough times bring out CREATIVITY.

Barrel Tasting Supplies

We would really love to get ALL of the supplies back today and tomorrow, so we can get everything shrink-wrapped and put away. We are not sure what our hours will be for the next couple of weeks. We're here 9:00-4:00 today and tomorrow.
KEEP any unused water and bring back the containers when they're empty. We have nowhere to store the water..use it up...or water your plants, just don't bring us a full bottle.
Please complete all of your accounting paperwork prior to arriving, so we can make drop off quick. We'd like your paperwork in the envelope with your wristbands if there is a problem we will contact you in the next couple of weeks.

Member + Partner Relations

In case you missed this news last week, we have hired Emily Luna to be the "go-to" contact for our members and community partners. Her goal will be to connect with all of our current Wine Road members and reach out to other wineries in the area. She will also be the point person for our partners within the community, to help us be the best possible partner. The more you know about what Wine Road does, the more you will want to be involved. We will need her now more than ever! She can be reached at Emily@WineRoad.com

A little fun news...

Last Monday we were in LA for the Taste Awards and we WON for our podcast. People's choice for the best wine/lifestyle podcast.
It was a fun event, held at the Writers Guild Theater in Beverly Hills. Swanky red carpet affair! Whoo-hoo. So - feel free to continue sharing our podcast, our listeners do enjoy learning about our wineries, lodgings, our partners and all that there is to see and do in the area. They will be planning trips here.

Wine Gift Baskets

Taste of California creates beautiful foodie gift baskets that include wine. They would not buy your wine, but you can have them create a basket for you, with your wine, send you photos to have on your website in your shopping cart and they would then drop ship the orders for you. If you want details - reach out to them directly.
Thank you to our Key Partners. We encourage you to connect with these businesses and share their contact information with your customers.
