Your Impact: On the Road Again
|
Students venture off campus for authentic learning experiences
From the Medieval beauty of Marseille to the layered history of Sicily, SYA students have been on the road again this spring! As they venture away from each campus to explore surrounding towns and cities, students witness the concepts, places and people learned in the classroom come to life in front of them as they explore various regions of their host country.
School trips are an essential part of the SYA experience and traveling with peers to another city or region brings history and culture to life. Your support of the SYA Fund makes these unforgettable moments possible.

Thank you to the 223 donors who together gave more than $65,000 on SYA Day and unlocked challenges and match gifts. From the morning commute to extracurriculars with local peers after school and everything in between, the generosity of our community enhances the SYA experience for our students each day across our campuses.

In "The SYA Rainbow," Abby parallels the year abroad to trudging through cold, shivery rain ... until you least expect the figurative — and literal — SYA rainbow.
In "The Italian Clock," Lorna learns you don't need a watch in Viterbo ... the rhythms of the day end with her favorite hour: the hazy five o'clock.
In "Evenings and Art," Hope shares one of her favorite extracurricular activities, finding herself "at home" in charcoal and chalk pastels.
