January revenue figures have been reported by the Department of Finance and Administration.  Overall January revenues were $1.3 billion, which is $45.6 million more than the state budgeted.  Sales taxes were $58.3 million more than the estimate for January and were 8.59% more than January 2015.  For six months revenues are $217.6 million higher than estimated.  The year-to-date growth rate for six months was 7.44%.  Click here to read the full report.

The Office of Research and Education Accountability (OREA), a division within the Comptroller of the Treasury, has released a report that examines the way charter school facilities are funded in Tennessee.  The report provides information on the facilities arrangements for Tennessee's charter schools and describes efforts in Tennessee and other states to provide charter schools with facilities-related assistance.  Click here to read the full report.   
FEMA has released the National Planning System (NPS) integrating national planning efforts across the whole community.  The NPS provides a unified approach and common terminology to support the implementation of the National Preparedness System through plans that support an all threats and hazards approach to preparedness.  Click here to learn more.
