Join the Student Accessibility and Academic Resources (StAAR) Center Monday, October 6, through Friday, October 10, at 4–5 p.m. each day for our Midterm Pop-Up, a week of workshops focused on strategies and skills to help you thrive during midterms. Certain workshops are followed by accountability sessions where you can apply the strategies you just learned and co-work with your peers. Pop into as many workshops or groups as you like. Snacks will be served! Our resources are free and open to all undergraduates. Workshops are held in person on the Medford/Somerville campus.

Have you ever wondered how the Tufts campus is powered? Join the CORE Fellows as we tour the Tufts Central Energy Plant (CEP), which supplies energy to the northern half of the campus. Andrea Woelfel, the CEP Operations & Maintenance Planning Manager, will take us on a guided walk of the facility. Meet us outside the plant on Tuesday, October 7, at 1:30–2:30 p.m. at 451 Boston Avenue.

Join the directors of Tufts in London and Tufts in Paris to learn about semester- and year-long options for SMFA students. This takes place Wednesday, October 8, at 2–2:30 p.m. at the SMFA Room B301.

On Wednesdays through December 10, librarians at Tisch Library will host drop-in research consultations at 2–4 p.m. Once a month, StAAR writing consultants will join us for writing support as well. Project Onramp offers paid summer internships in the life sciences industry for undergrads who are under-resourced and often from underrepresented groups. Half of the internships are in industry labs, and the others are in business strategy, marketing, communications, clinical operations and human resources. Join us on Thursday, October 9, at 6–7 p.m. in Tisch Library Room 304 to learn more about the Project Onramp experience, including the over 85 employer partners who host students at their companies.

Join us on Thursday, October 9, at 6:30–7:30 p.m. in Dowling Hall Room 745A to learn about this four-week summer opportunity to study public health in Santiago, Chile. No previous Spanish experience is required. Pizza will be served!

Are you interested in urban agriculture and sustainable food systems? Join the Sustainable CORE Fellows, Friends of Black Farmers, and Plant Futures for a field trip to learn about and volunteer at Groundwork Somerville. The field trip will be on Friday, October 10, at 10 a.m.–1:30 p.m.

October 7 is the final day to DROP a course without record of enrollment for sophomores, juniors, and seniors. (First-year and first-semester transfer students have until November 12.)

The Computer Programming Placement Exemption Exam will be offered on Tuesday, October 7, at 9 a.m.–9 p.m.
