The COAT/TCSA annual County Government Day conference begins tomorrow, February 16th, at the Nashville Airport Marriott.  Registration is open.  Click here to download a registration form.  Click here to see an agenda.  The CTAS Internal Controls training class offered at County Government Day is the same material that is being covered in the other Internal Controls training classes currently being taught around the state.  This class is being offered to give officials an additional opportunity to participate in this very important training class for those officials who were unable to attend a class in their area.
Pursuant to P.C. 112, local government must establish and maintain internal controls.  CTAS is offering training classes through March covering Internal Controls.  For a list of the classes offered and their locations, please see below.  All classes are from 9:00am - 1:00pm local time.  Contact the CTAS Training Department to register for these classes.  
Over the next few months, NACo is hosting a series of webinars concentraing on the justice system - specifically juvenile justice reform and pretrial reform and risk assessments.  Also, on March 10th, NACo will host a County Health Rankings: Common County Questions and Answers webinar.  For a listiing of dates and subjects of these upcoming webinars, click here.
