SBS Fleece Jackets

All SBS students should have received an email from Loretta Alamo on September 15 with instructions on how to order a fleece jacket with the SBS logo. A pop-up shop will be open until October 6, 2023. Please follow the instructions in the email if you are interested in ordering a jacket. Headshots

A new headshot booth is now open in the student lounge on the second floor of Kresge. Harvard Chan School community members can use the self service booth to capture professional photos anytime while campus is open. Simply create an account, take your photos, and have them emailed to you. In times of high demand, we ask for sessions to be kept under 10 minutes. Conference Funding:

SBS PhD Student Professional Development Funds

SBS encourages our PhD students to pursue professional development opportunities (including attending and/or presenting at professional meetings and conferences). In order to support this initiative, we have instituted a new fund specifically for doctoral students in the Department of Social & Behavioral Sciences to help offset the costs of professional development activities. Learn more here.

SBS Masters Student Conference Travel Award

SBS encourages our masters students (HSB 45, 65 and SM1) to present their research at professional meetings and conferences. In order to support this initiative, we have instituted student travel awards specifically to help offset the costs of travel to these conferences. Learn more here.

WGH Conference Stipend

Open to all HSPH students to support attendance at conferences that have a gender analysis and health focus. Stipends can cover up to $750 (domestic) and $1000 (international) of expenses to be used for travel, accommodation, incidental costs, and registration. Please check our website for more information, or email at wgh@hsph.harvard.edu with any questions.

Professional Development Support Fund

The Professional Development Support Fund was established by the Office for Student Services to support students at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health who are interested in taking advantage of opportunities to participate in co-curricular and academic experiences such as attending or presenting at professional conferences or development seminars, and by organizing their own events such as seminars, panels, symposiums, etc. The goal of the fund is to reduce individual students’ costs to participate in or organize experiences that contribute to their professional development. Note: PhD students are not eligible for the PDSF.
