Tufts Campus Life
Student Organizaiton Upates for Fall 2022
August 18, 2022
Dear Student Organization Leaders,
As we approach the start of the fall semester, we are writing with a few updates regarding the operations of your organization.
Student Organizations Fair
As a reminder, the Student Organizations Fair is scheduled for September 5, 2022 from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. on the Academic Quad. Each recognized organization must have completed their annual JumboLife Transition & OCL Registration Form via JumboLife to receive a table. If you're having trouble accessing the form, please follow the instructions outlined here. You can find additional information on how to prepare for the fair here.
Scheduled Meetings & Events
Your organization’s ReserveTufts contact (as entered in your organization's registration form on JumboLife) will be permitted to book spaces on campus starting at the end of August. However, any space requested will not be approved until after September 6, as this is the date when events and programs are permitted to begin.
Please keep these additional policies in mind as you begin planning:
  • Absolutely no events or meetings are to be held until the first day of classes, September 6. New students should not be invited, or encouraged, to attend any student organization meeting or event during Undergraduate Orientation.
  • Organizations must adhere to the posting policy.
  • In order to reserve space or host an event, organizations must be registered on JumboLife and submit event requests through the Event Registration Form
TCU Treasury
Tufts Community Union (TCU) will host its annual treasury meetings in September. These trainings will cover financial policies and procedures for the 2022-2023 academic year. Both signatories for all TCU Treasury Funded Organizations are required to attend one of the following trainings:
The dates, times, and locations are as follows:

  • Wednesday, September 21, 7 p.m. in Pearson 104
The TCU Treasury will follow-up with additional information and send invites directly to organization signatories.
REMINDER: This training is for TCU-Funded Student Organizations only. This meeting is not required for Club Sports, Sub-Groups, Department-Sponsored Organizations, Graduate Student Council Organizations, Fraternities, Sororities, or non-TCU Funded Organizations.
COVID-19 Reminders
Heading into the year, do your part to maintain a positive experience on campus and ensure the continued health, safety, and well-being of our university community. Keep yourself up-to-date with current University policies, guidelines, and recommendations
In planning events and meetings for your student organization, keep in mind:
  • While masks are optional in indoor spaces, they are highly recommended as an effective strategy for slowing the spread of illness.
  • Stay home if you aren't feeling well. Individuals with flu-like symptoms should seek medical care. Free testing will be available to symptomatic individuals with a Tufts ID.
We will continue to monitor and respond to the most recent data and trends and make decisions with caution and with the best interests of our university and host communities in mind.
Thank you for your attention to these details. We look forward to welcoming you back in the fall!

Sincerely,
Alexa Erb
