On Monday, March 11, 12 noon, join us for a walkthrough of The Herd, Tufts' career networking and mentoring space for students and alumni in Arts & Sciences, Engineering, and the SMFA. We will go through important sections of the platform and answer all your questions about this over 8,600-member community.

| Beyond Tufts: Navigating Uncertainty in Your Career Path After Tufts |
Handling the stress of the internship/job search may require tools to manage anxious feelings or negative thoughts. Led by Jennifer Granquist, Tufts CMHS Urgent Care Specialist and Staff Clinician, this session on Tuesday, March 12, at 12 noon in Dowling Hall Room 745A will introduce a variety of skills and resources for juniors and seniors and provide an opportunity for conversation and practice. The goal is to come away with a well-being plan tailored to your needs.

On Tuesday, March 12, at 5–7 p.m. in the Joyce Cummings Center Lantern Room, join Dr. Sima Samar, a Nobel Peace Prize Nominee, Women's Human Rights Defender, Fletcher Visiting Fellow, and Scholar at Risk, as she launches her new memoir, Outspoken: My Fight for Freedom and Human Rights in Afghanistan. The event will be a book talk and signing followed by a reception. All students, faculty, and staff are welcome.

On Wednesday, March 13, at 12 noon–1:15 p.m. at Olin Center Room 106, join us for a conversation with cultural sociologist, performance artist, ethnographer, and curator Dr. Margarita Kuleva as she gives us a peek inside the complex worlds of creative workers in Russia, the UK, and the U.S. Dr. Kuleva is spending the year with the School of the Museum of Fine Arts at Tufts and the Department of Sociology as a Scholar at Risk and Artist Protection Fund Scholar. All faculty, staff, and students are welcome.

| Local Public Health on the Forefront of a Changing Environment |
Environmental Studies is honored to have our very own Tufts alumna, Dr. Karen Alroy, A05, VG12, MPH12, join us on Thursday, March 14, at 12 noon as part of the Hoch Cunningham Environmental Lecture Series. Her talk will highlight stories of how health practitioners respond to the health impacts of a changing planet. All of our speakers are in person. This talk will be livestreamed but NOT recorded.

Film Screening and Artist Conversation with Kenneth Tam |
On Thursday, March 14, at 6 p.m., Tufts University Art Galleries present a special screening of three short films by Kenneth Tam, in conjunction with his exhibition "Standing in Soft Formation" and in collaboration with Tufts Film and Media Studies Program. Following the screening will be a conversation with Tam and Luis Arnías, SMFA faculty. All are welcome, and advance registration is appreciated. This event will take place in Barnum Hall 08.

Understanding Degree Audits
On Wednesday, March 13, at 12 noon–1 p.m., SoE Senior Academic Advisors are hosting a workshop where we will be discussing how to access and understand your degree audit, a tool in SIS to track degree progress.
We will also be answering any questions you may have about degree audits and how you can use them to plan course selection for Fall 2024 and beyond. The workshop will take place via Zoom and will be recorded.

Education abroad commitments for academic year 2024–2025 are due by March 15. This deadline applies to students going abroad in the following terms:

All students must log back into their application portal and change their status to "committed."

Undergraduate Environmental Photo Contest |
The annual Undergraduate Environmental Photo Contest is back. The contest is open to all undergraduate students. Enter for a chance to win up to $150 and an opportunity for your work to be displayed on the Medford/Somerville campus for the next academic year. Students can submit up to five photos. The deadline is Monday, March 25, at 12 midnight.

TECA Call for Student Grant Proposals |
Tufts Elephant Conservation Alliance (TECA) announces a call for proposals for competitive grants available for student research, communication, or service projects that contribute to conservation and/or protection of African or Asian elephants. The application form must be filled out and submitted by April 8 to be considered for summer 2024 funding.

We're almost halfway through the semester, and it's an important time to focus on your mental health. Here's how we're here to support you:
Therapy Available During Spring Break
If you are in Massachusetts but away from campus, Mantra Health and CMHS are still accessible during Spring Break. Mantra connects you with therapists in Massachusetts, and appointments are also available during evening and some weekend hours. CMHS is also available during business hours. Students who have paid the Tufts University Health & Wellness fee are eligible.
Access Mantra Health
To access therapy, sign up or log in to the Mantra Health portal with your @tufts.edu email. This grants you access to teletherapy through Mantra.
