Dear Students,
I hope you had a restful and enjoyable summer and that your semester is off to a good start.
I know that you are awaiting an update on the Arts and Sciences Dean search, and as chair of the search committee, I am happy to share that the search is moving along as planned.
There has been a lot of interest in this position, and we have a very strong candidate pool. The search committee has completed first-round interviews and has recommended a subset of candidates for second-round interviews.
We have begun to invite those candidates to campus for in-person interviews in the coming weeks. Candidates will meet with faculty, staff, and students across the school’s departments and divisions, as well as key university stakeholders.
