It is with both joy and sadness that I share with you that I am leaving my position as the Eau Claire County 4-H Educator in order to spend more time with my family. It has been a great joy to work with all of you. My last day in the office will be August 14.

We'll make cookies from Mexico, France, Italy, and China. $10/participant.

Attention 4-H youth and families! Join us for an interactive evening exploring the rich art, history, and vibrant culture behind timeless quilts!

This is a family-learning experience! Parents/guardians must stay with their youth for the entire event. No registration required!

Kickball Tournament Registration |
Register for the inaugural Eau Claire County 4-H Kickball Tournament on August 30th starting at 1:00 PM. Teams will play at least two games and we will share frozen treats afterwards. It will be fun!!!

Statewide 4-H Volunteer Awards |
Do you know an outstanding volunteer in your club or county? Nominate them for the Wisconsin 4-H Volunteer Awards!
There are 3 categories – Emerging Volunteer (1-5 years of service), Outstanding Club Leader, and Outstanding Project Leader.
Nominations are open in 4-H Online (look under Events, and select Wisconsin 4-H Volunteer Awards), and the nomination deadline has been extended until August 10th!

Great Wisconsin Quilt Show Kids' Challenge |
For youth ages 15 and under. Entries must be received by August 9. Enter at the link on the button below.
$200 for first place, $100 for second place, and $50 for third place.

Next Meeting--September 8 |
Leaders Association Meetings are held at the Eau Claire County Extension office the 2nd Tuesday of September, November, January, March, May, and June. 6:00pm will be a time to hear policy updates, ask the 4-H educator questions, and brainstorm club ideas. Meetings will start at 6:30pm. PLEASE make every effort to send a representative to these meetings. Attending is how we make connections and learn from each other to bring the best program we can to the young people in our clubs. It connects your local club program to the wider county program and makes you aware of the wider opportunities in 4-H so that you can promote those to your club members.
