This Sunday is the final Sunday of Rooted & Rising.
If you haven’t already, please remember to return your commitment card by this Sunday.
Your commitment for next year helps us plan responsibly for the ministries and opportunities ahead. As soon as we receive the remaining cards, we’ll continue the budgeting process for the coming year.
This week, our takeaways were coneflowers. We have more! If you would like some, please stop by the church and pick them up.
Thank you for being part of Rooted & Rising—and for helping us look faithfully toward what comes next.

Our roots are deep. In June of 1818, Ebenezer Hearn, a Methodist circuit rider, rode into what was to become Tuscaloosa, but what at the time was a struggling pioneer settlement. And on that day, our church was born. Tradition has it that the birth took place in Joshua Halbert’s “hotel,” or tavern, then one of two log cabins standing above the river among the scattered board shanties of the pioneers.

Tuesday Tip from FUMCT Wellness |
Fight dementia and protect your thinking and reasoning skills by learning new things every week. Challenge yourself - read varied genres and topics, play games and puzzles that require different types of skills, try creative projects, or learn a skill that connects the body and mind. Be an active learner. After you read, listen or watch, do something to process the new info or skill.
