Madison Hires Consultant to Prepare CommunityWide Strategic Plan
MADISON, TN ( April 12, 2016) In a pioneering move harmonious to area history, the Madison community in Metropolitan Nashville takes a proactive stance toward revitalization with a dynamic grassroots effort.
All Together Madison (ATM) has hired R andall Gross Development Economics (RGDE) t o prepare an economic and real estate market analyses to determine Madison's economic potential and to develop strategic recommendations and an implementation plan that will help Madison also maintain its affordable niche.
Gross has 30 years experience, consulting over 600 studies across the globe. In Nashville, he has guided high-profile analyses for MDHA, Metro Planning, the National Trust for Historic Preservation, and private developers in Nashville. His reputation for creating more sustainable, livable and economically viable communities spoke right to the heart of the Madison steering committee. His approach is to engage the entire community in economic and community development visioning.

It is an exciting time for the people of Madison. It’s my role to facilitate translating the community’s vision into a strategic plan, generating sustained growth while preserving what makes Madison unique,” says Randall Gross.
ATM, created in July 2015, is a steering committee comprised of local organizations, churches, residents, businesses and elected officials joining all together to initiate positive change for Madison, Tennessee; a diverse working class community conveniently located less than ten miles northeast of downtown Nashville. Mayor Barry’s vision for economic equity in Davidson County supports strategically reviving this neighborhood. Through the ebb and flow of a thriving economy and the downward spiral of inequity, Madison is now poised to take advantage of the popularity, energy and growth potential associated with Nashville, the “It” city.
The Memorial Foundation generously provided funding for the strategic plan with a unanimous vote from the board to award the grant. Local 501(c)(3) nonprofit Discover Madison, Inc. will serve as the fiscal sponsor for the project.
