| Message from TVMA President, Dr. Joe Ed Conn It is a constant adventure being your TVMA president. A week ago, I had the pleasure of participating in the commencement ceremonies for the UTCVM Class of 2017. The experience is reinvigorating for those of us who are a long way removed from our own school days. The enthusiasm with which these graduates enter our profession is contagious, and I look forward to watching their careers develop and seeing where their generation will take our profession. Click here to read the rest of Dr. Conn's message.

| Prescription Mandates: Bad for Veterinarians and Their Patients Congress has once again introduced prescription mandate legislation, misleadingly called the “Fairness to Pet Owners Act” (H.R. 623). The AVMA opposes this legislation because it will require veterinarians to waste time on red tape instead of what’s most important: caring for patients. For more information on this bill and how you can help, click here.
