Many community pools and spraygrounds opened safely for the season over Memorial Day weekend, thanks to the hard work and partnership of local pool operators and Clay County environmental health inspectors.
Every year, Clay County Public Health Center recognizes recreational water facilities, which includes pools, spraygrounds and spas, that excel in safety. For 2022, 34 facilities received a Pool Quality of Excellence Award by successfully following the Clay County Rules and Regulations for Pools/Spas, exhibiting pool quality and safety practices and achieving exceptional inspection results during the calendar year.
In 2022, the Environmental Health Protection section of Clay County Public Health Center conducted 445 recreational water inspections. This year’s award winners represent 29% of Clay County regulated recreational water facilities.
