We would like to thank Beth Hill from the North Dakota Forest Service, who presented at our Spring Conference. Her presentation "Nature and Nutrition" included a great hands on guide for children ages 1-6 on exploring nature and learning where some of our food sources come from. Providers also heard from SENDCAA Nutrition Educators about meal pattern guidelines, label reading, and portion sizes. Three hours of Growing Futures training was earned for those that attended.

|
|
Providers at the spring conference were creative making their own trees from veggies. This was just one of the many hands on activities found in the "Trees and Me" curriculm that each attendee received.

With 24 new recipes among the 2025 Nutrition Calendar and its activity pages, it can be hard to keep all those recipes in one place. The National CACFP Association did the job for you!
Download all 24 recipes, serving sizes and crediting information in a recipe book, as well a handout on this year's theme of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts and Mathematics).

The National CACFP Association has developed extra monthly resources to go along with your calendar. The Parent Connections monthly newsletters are ready for you to add your own info at the bottom of the page; and the activity pages contain recipes, craft activities, movement activities and more.
